![]() Point is: The login process from Steam to WoWS isn't the best. I just cancel and then press the start button, and then it logs in normally. Obviously I've been playing for a little while now, so the login process has clearly failed. This is supposed to be the process for new accounts. I've had a few times where I start the game and it asks me to create a new username since "Lavian" is taken (and is also not me, by the way). I don't really care either way.Īs far as issues logging in with Steam are concerned: I'm not saying that makes it okay, but I'm also not saying that it's not okay. Your issue deals with the fact that they don't allow accounts not created through Steam to be linked up with Steam, which is a totally separate issue of profits (Steam taking 30% of every sale) and policy and blah blah blah. ![]() The OP of this thread sounds like they're having issue with the steam login process to the game, because the OP has only played the game on Steam. sounds like something entirely different. I tried to delete all api files and it does the same as normal. I rename all api files but the game load as normal and does not prompt me anything. Yeah I saw a video on youtube exactly like this. ONLY TOUCH THE STEAM_API FILE nothing else.Įvery time there is an update there will be a higher numbered folder in the bin folder and you will need to follow the same steps with every patch. Can confirm that renaming the highest numbered folder and both 32bit and 64bit version within the folder will fallback to requesting wargaming username and password. Your_drive:\steam_folder\steamapps\common\World of Warships\bin you look for the highest number folder (or all folders to be sure) and rename all the steam_api files you can find to something random. No need to start over with if you have a WoW account. If its a forgotten stean account contact steam support, if its a WoW account you are trying to import to steam version then follow what i just posted here: Originally posted by RAGE_ME_A_RIVER:your previous account was with steam or was it a WoW account?
